The Briscoe Family Foundation Fund & The Charles Briscoe Memorial Fund

“The AACF is a facilitator for smart giving. Even though I have things that are near and dear to my heart I didn’t want there to be anything that I missed, and that’s the biggest reason that I chose AACF. Tere’s no way that one individual would be able to cover as many bases as one big honey pot does. A pot goes a long way.” – Matt Dixon

Matt Dixon created two Funds in honor of her hero, her little brother Charles Briscoe. Charles lost his battle with Multiple Myeloma, but continues to be an inspiration to others through his legacy of community leadership and philanthropy. Matt carries on the tradition of inspiration through the Charles Briscoe Memorial Fund by supporting the Georgia Technology Student Association’s eorts to encourage the next generation of health researchers. With her annual grant, the Georgia TSA provides a monetary award to an outstanding high school student.

Her second fund, the Briscoe Family Foundation Fund, allows Matt to be nimble and act on emerging (and often once in a lifetime) opportunities. Grants from this fund include the last minute gift that made Cedar Shoals Choir’s trip to Carnegie Hall possible, and a critical grant for the Classic Center’s Hospitality Careers program.
