Who Can Reserve the Community Living Room?

Use of the Community Living Room is prioritized for Athens Area Community Foundation Agency Fundholders. Requests from other nonprofit organizations may be considered at the Athens Area Community Foundation’s discretion and reviewed according to the Community Living Room Reservation Guidelines.

Requests from organizations outside the nonprofit community are considered on a limited, case-by-case basis.

Our goal is to ensure this space remains accessible, mission-aligned, and beneficial to the broader community.

Community Living Room Reservation Guidelines

To ensure fair and effective use of the Community Living Room, the following guidelines apply:

  • Single-day reservations may be requested up to three (3) months but no later than four (4) weeks in advance.
  • Requests made fewer than two (4) weeks in advance are generally not accepted, though limited exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Agency Fundholders may reserve the space one (1) time per month.
  • Non-Agency Fundholding nonprofits may reserve the space one (1) time per quarter.
  • Requests for multi-day or recurring use must be emailed to Chloe Hartley at chartley@athensareacf.org for review prior to submitting a formal request.

Organizations whose requests are approved will receive detailed instructions about how to access the building and the room.

All reservation requests must be submitted through our online request form.

Once your request is received, it will be reviewed by our staff.

You will receive a confirmation, approval, or follow-up request for additional information.

Please do not consider your reservation confirmed until you receive written approval.

Contributions and Community Support

There is no required fee to use the Community Living Room. However, we request that organizations consider making a voluntary contribution with each reservation.

These gifts help us maintain the space, improve amenities, and ensure that the Community Living Room remains available for future nonprofit partners.
