Board Leadership Training: Four Workshop Options
Ready, Set, Go is a board leadership training program with the Athens Area Community Foundation that equips nonprofit leaders and board members with the tools they need to lead with clarity, confidence, and impact.
The workshops in this program demonstrate our commitment to community leadership and bringing people together to share their expertise while also investing in the long-term strength of the organizations in our area. It’s one of the many ways we work alongside our fundholders to help further philanthropy in our community.

Ready, Set, Go is a three-part board leadership training series offered each spring. Each workshop is designed to create a more cohesive and effective leadership team.
Learn how to build and support a high-performing board that is ready to take on any challenge. This session focuses on board recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and aligning board members with your organization’s mission and storytelling.
This session helps board members understand the fundamentals of effective board service, including roles and responsibilities, financial oversight, and how to contribute meaningfully to organizational success. It helps set them up for a great experience as a board member that allows them to positively contribute to your organization.
Strengthen the partnership at the center of every successful nonprofit. Designed specifically for board chairs and executive directors, this session focuses on communication, alignment, and shared leadership strategies that strengthen collaboration, move organizations forward with intentionality, and build a cohesive vision for the future.
